Enrico Cossio was born 1972 in Udine. From 1997 to 2000 was pupil of Alberto Negroni and Paolo Pollastri, by the Toscanini Foundation in Parma, and achieved the UE Master Degree "AFOS - Simphonc Orchestra High Formation". At the same time, he obtained the Wind Chamber Music Master with the "Quintetto Bibiena" by the Fiesole Music School and several prizes: First Prize with special mention for the best contemporary music performance at the "AlpeAdria Music Competition" (Trieste-Italy, 1996); Second Prize, with first not awarded at the International Chamber Music Competition "Acqui Musica" (Acqui Terme, 1997). 2001 Enrico Cossio achieved the Konzertdiplom by the Musikhochschule in Lugano (CH), learning with the world-famous oboist prof. Hans Elhorst. At the same year he has been appointed as Solo Oboe of the Ensemble "I Solisti Veneti", conducted by Claudio Scimone. 2007 he has been graduated PhD "cum laude" in baroque oboe (Pier Luigi Fabretti, Les Arts Florissants-Paris) and modern oboe (Luca Vignali, Teatro dell'Opera-Rome). Mr. Cossio plays currently by several Orchestras and Ensembles, such as: "Teatro La Fenice" and Orchestra in Venice, the RTSI Swiss Italian Radio Orchestra, "I Virtuosi Italiani", "Teatro Verdi" and Orchestra of Trieste, Orchestra Sinfonica di San Remo, "Orchestra Sinfonica Arturo Toscanini" in Parma, "Orchestra Sinfonica Giuseppe Verdi" in Milano, "Pegasus Chamber Orchestra" and "Orchestra del Teatro Regio" in Parma, and has performed in many important events: the "Ravenna Festival", Umbria Jazz, the concert season of the "Teatro alla Scala" in Milan, the Lubiana Music Festival, the European Youth Orchestras Music Festival in Bologna. He recorded for the following Labels: Bongiovanni, Pilz, Ars Musica, Arts, Agorá, Rivo Alto, Nota and Real Sound, and also for RAI-Italia, ORF-Österreich, RTV-Slovenjia and RTSI-Swiss Broadcast. At the moment Mr. Cossio plays as Principal Oboe by the FVG Mitteleuropa Orchestra. |
